Academie MWD official opening !!

La inauguración oficial de la Academie MWD será el próximo 8 de Septiembre de 2012 a las 18:00.
Además, se inaugura una exposición sobre nuestro trabajo en el vecino CC Westrand.
El domingo 9 de Septiembre, Westrand y la Academie MWD estarán abiertos al público en el contexto del Open Monumenten Dag (equivalente al Día de la Arquitectura)

The official opening of the Academie MWD will be on the 8th of September 2012 at 18:00.
In addition, an exhibition of our work will be open in neighbouring CC Westrand.
On Sunday, September 9, both Westrand and the Academie MWD will be open to the public in the context of Open Monumenten Dag (equivalent to the Day of Architecture)

De officiële opening van de Academie MWD is voorzien voor zaterdag 8 september 2012 om 18 uur.
Daarnaast zal er een tentoonstelling van ons werk in het naburige CC Westrand.
Op zondag 9 september zal Westrand en de Academie MWD geopend zijn in het kader van Open Monumenten Dag.

Academie MWD Dilbeek forest façade in production

El bosque de Wolfsputten está siendo encapsulado en piezas de vidrio, según nuestro diseño para la Academia MWD en Dilbeek. Estas son algunas de las piezas - que realmente parecen piezas de laboratorio! Haz click en la imagen para ampliarla.
Sven Drooghmans (en la foto) está siguiendo personalmente cada paso en la fabricación y montaje de la fachada óptico-dinámica. Su empresa familiar, Drooghmans Geveltechnieken, construye este enorme rompecabezas de 72 metros de longitud por 16 metros de altura, que es el último capítulo en el plan de obra del edificio.

Wolfsputten forest is now being encapsulated in pieces of glass, following our design for the Academie MWD in Dilbeek. Here are some of the pieces - they really are like laboratory glass plates for a microscope! Click on the picture for a closer view.
Sven Drooghmans (pictured) is personally following every step in the preparation and construction of the optical dynamic façade. His family firm, Drooghmans Geveltechnieken, is building this enormous jigsaw puzzle, 72 metres long by 16 metres high. This is the last chapter of the building plan, and then it will be completed.

Westrand Interview

La revista Westrand ha publicado una entrevista con Carlos Arroyo, sobre las obras de la Academie MWD, sobre el proyecto, sus aspectos dinámicos y los criterios de sostenibilidad aplicados. La Academia está actualmente en las últimas fases de la obra, que terminará el próximo mes de febrero.

Westrand magazine has published an interview with Carlos Arroyo, discussing the building works of the Academie MWD, the concept, its dynamic form and the criteria for sustainability. Currently under construction, the Academie is to be finished next February.

Westrand magazine publiceerde een interview met Carlos Arroyo, hierin vertelt hij over de Academie MWD, het concept, zijn dynamische vorm en de duurzame aspecten ervan. Momenteel onder constructie, de academie zal voltooid zijn in Februari.

Main structure finished in Dilbeek

La estructura principal de la Academia MWD de Dilbeek está terminada. La imagen está tomada desde el extremo de la grua, en el habitual "paseo aereo" que hacen Carlos Arroyo y el jefe de obra Pieter Broekaert en las visitas de los Miércoles.

The main structure of the MWD Academy in Dilbeek is now finished. The picture is taken from the far end of the crane, in the "air ride" that Carlos Arroyo usually takes in his Wednesday visits with site manager Pieter Broekaert.

De hoofdstructuur van de MWD Academie in Dilbeek is nu afgewerkt. De foto is genomen vanop het uiteinde van de kraan, in de "lucht rit" die Carlos Arroyo normaal gezien neemt tijdens zijn bezoeken op woensdag met site-manager Pieter Broekaert.

MWD building works begin

Comienzan ya las obras de construcción de nuestro proyecto Academie MWD, Academia de Danza, Palabra y Música de Dilbeek (Bélgica). El contrato de obras fue adjudicado oficialmente a la empresa Kumpen con sede en la ciudad flamenca de Hasselt. La constructora tiene numerosas obras de calidad, como podemos ver en estas fotografías referenciadas de su web.
La primera reunión de obra está fijada para el 4 de noviembre. La fecha de la Primera Piedra se anunciará próximamente.

Building works for our project Academie MWD, the Academy for Music, Word and Dance in Dilbeek (Belgium) will begin shortly. The building contract was officially awarded to Kumpen, the long-established company based in the Flemish city of Hasselt. The construction firm has a long and wide experience building quality projects, some of which we can see in the pictures below, linked from their website.
The first on-site meeting will take place on the 4th of November. The date for the Foundation Stone ceremony will be announced shortly.

Binnenkort starten de bouwwerken van ons project Academie MWD, de Academie voor Muziek, Woord en Dans in Dilbeek, België. Het bouwcontract werd officieel toegekend aan Kumpen, het welgevestigde bedrijf uit de stad Hasselt. De bouwfirma heeft een lange en uitgebreide ervaring in het bouwen van kwaliteitsvolle projecten, waarvan we enkele kunnen zien hieronder, gelinkt met hun website.
De eerste on-site bijeenkomst zal plaatsvinden op 4 November. De datum voor de Eerste Steenlegging zal binnenkort worden aangekondigd.
